The artwork will be auctioned and the money donated to the NHS (National Health Service)

A new artwork of the British artist has been found hanging on a wall in a UK hospital paying tribute to healthcare professionals who are fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. Banksy is the world’s most famous urban artist despite his identity not being known.

This time, the creation of the graffiti artist from Bristol is a black and white and one square metre picture and is titled ‘Game Changer’. It features a boy sitting on his knees playing with a doll, a superhero nurse wearing a cape, mask and apron with a red cross, while next to him, Batman and Spiderman are inside the wastepaper. This creation has appeared at Southampton General Hospital with a note saying:

“Thanks for all you are doing. I hope this brightens the place up a bit, even if it’s in black and white. “

When confinement ends, the work will be exposed to the public, and then put up for sale at auction. The funds raised will go to the National Health Service (NHS). Previous works of the artist have been sold for several million dollars.
